Air at 50 kPa, 100
oC and 5 m/s enters a pipe of diameter 14 cm and exits at 180 kPa and 400
oC. Assuming the air is heated as it flows through the pipe and that the diameter of the pipe is the same at both the inlet and outlet. Calculate:

  1. The volumetric flowrate of air at the inlet and exit of the pipe.

  2. The mass flowrate of air at the inlet and exit of the pipe.

  3. The rate at which heat is supplied to the system in kJ/s.

Take the characteristic gas constant of air as 287 J/kg/K.
