Aims of the module

The Society Joint Honours Project/dissertation is your opportunity to implement and write up an independent study in a particular part-route. You will build on your previous knowledge and skills developed in previous modules and will develop a deeper understanding of a particular topic which you will negotiate with your supervisor.  Through the project proposal and dissertation, you will:


1.    Further develop your enquiry-based skills.


2.    Plan a relevant research initiative in an agreed study area.


3.    Develop relevant skills to enable appropriate data collection to be undertaken.


4.    Further develop understandings of ethical issues.
