The AICPA SSTS, which is knowns as the Association of International Certificated Professional Accountants, Standards for Tax Services (SSTS) is a well-known tax standard that must be followed by each and every member of AICPA (Greenman 2021)

1. Members of AICPA must ensure that they follow the rules
2. Also, the authority the entity has is over its members, where it does not matter what is the jurisdiction of the members, and the tax system they follow
3. The other authority that the AICPA has is that of auditing and therefore they have the responsibility to enforce the tax standards and their rules
