Across the history of research in psychology, we have witnessed a change in emphases from sensation-perception to behaviorism and then to CHALLENGE QUESTIONS cognitive psychology. Within the different areas or subdisciplines of psychology (e.g., clinical, developmental, neuroscience, social), the number of research topics has increased tremendously.
