The Portfolio is divided in to three parts:  Design Specification Report  Design Proposal Report  Perform Test Plan  Walkthrough In the first part, produce a report detailing the system requirements specification for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in a project (1000‐1200 words). This is a group task where the members in the team can examine the literature to source relevant information for the analysis and integration of business processes. The purpose of this assignment is to produce a proposal for a CPO that outlines the main system requirements for an Information System (IS) solution in a project. In the second part, generate a baseline report for a proposed IS system in a project. The report must contain a business continuity plan, suitable performance metrics and KPIs (1500‐1800 words). The results from the above RSR are analysed and the students can now combine their effort to create the design for the proposed IS system. The design must include suitable workflows and swim lanes for business processes, performance metrics, and functional and non‐functional decomposition of the system components such as availability, security, and infrastructure. Consideration for different options for the system architecture must be provided. For example, a cloud solution with service level agreement (SLA). In the final part, create and execute a test plan for your proposed design (1500‐1800 words). Students need to test the proposed design, carry out a performance test and a business continuity plan. The design may include a web‐based project management tool, a Portal design for project, Service catalogue and SLA for cloud solutions. Data for simulation of performance using suitable metrics and if necessary, data conversion. Part 1 (15% marks: submission 10% + presentation 5%)  A brief literature review detailing the ICT requirements for a Project Management Information System and select an organisation to explore this further.  Conduct a brief analysis of your chosen organisation’s business processes.  Based on your analysis, propose the design and development of a new web-based project management tool or a Portal for managing projects in your chosen organisation.  Provide justification for your chosen tool.  Word limit: 1000-1200 words (excluding references and appendix) Page | 3 Asia Pacific International College Pty Ltd. Introduction:
As discuss in previous section, there were discussion about the construction of information system which sui
table for information technology. After designing the entire system as per objective and management decision, the next step is testing of the information system to ensure that the function output from the system is satisfied our requirement or not? As per objective, it must be satisfied but in many cases it won’t. So, before proceed for approval and use for specific purpose, it is essential to test and find the value and functional output. The testing result indicate various parameter and it will suggest that the system is work or not as per expectation. In many case, the test result failed or may not obtain test result i.e. not match with the analytical solution. Then it is require performing test again by changing input or various parameters by trial and error method Robson, G. (2014). The project article discuss about the important of testing and testing execution plan for information system.
Scope of test execution plan:
Now days, business organization is mainly associate with the information technology, internet, computer application, communication medium in order to operate entire operation of organization. The employees must associate with the information technology, software application, and computer and internet devices. Each organization associate with the software application for sharing, communicate information for project management. This software is individual design and develops as per company requirement. While designing this software, it is essential to test that software in order to obtain and ensure that the software working according to requirement. The project is discuss testing execution plan and recommends taking action in company’s favor.
Strategy:
As software design for information system, the next step is approaching for testing. The system needs to test for specific configurations. It is requiring to identifying the key feature and functional requirement of project and mention test approach Park, H. (2015). The test approach must be traditional, exploratory and automatic. Next, it is require to refer document i.e. documentation of the product. The next step is to manage test environment and arrangement. Additionally, it is require preparing risk management plan, contingencies and dependencies about the risk. Manage test schedule, workflow approval and entry and exit criteria specification. For example, the company develops the software; a test strategy will help the company that articulates what operation systems suitable for, which types of operation systems and versions suitable. That needs to test before implement or approval for the company use and further transaction.
Testing of information system:
As discuss earlier, there are two methodologies for testing and ensure that the system is applicable for the organization or not.
a. Manual Testing :
The manual testing is the software testing procedure which allows the tester or engineer to locate the bugs or defects in the software program needs to test. The software engineer or tester is use the software like the end user can, and further it is require to identifying problems and analysis of risk to ensure that it is possible ensure the functional requirement of software. The software tester has responsibility for execution of all test cases manually without turning to any suitable automation operations Kadam, D. (2017). The...
