Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us have to work/study from home and share networking resources with others in the household. Consider a scenario (family home or shared household) where you have a minimum of five users in your household as follow:

Consider other activities outside of the time scope above, such as the activities of the student(s) after 2 PM, while other users are still working.









Users’ devices at this household are ranging from desktop PC(s), laptop(s), tablet(s), smartphone(s), a shared printer, smart TV(s), a range of smart home devices, etc., which need to connect to the home network.






Everyone in the household shares a home Internet connection.









































General Task







There is no fixed budget. However, the proposed network should be cost-effective and take full advantage of the services available in the market.








You are required to

research networking and communications options

that are available in your home area. It is expected that there will be a way to utilise the Internet and available local service providers to achieve this. The network design needs to address how this can be done
