(a) Write a test program for the simplepan and constpower functions (not involving any soundfiles) that checks the calculated overall intensity of a sound (amplitude 1) when panned from full left to full right over 128 steps. Use this program to confirm that the two pan functions behave as described.

(b) (optional) Adapt the program to create a textfile of breakpoints that can be displayed graphically, e.g. using Gnuplot. Modify the program to generate a file that demonstrates the change in intensity in one channel. (This will, in effect, display the pan function under test.)
