A transit was used to determine the elevations of tp1 and the top of the column along the tunnel. The transit was set up first between BM1 and TP1. The stadia rod was held inverted at BM1 and the rod reading was recorded. The slope distance was measured to be 65.354 from the center of the instrument to the point where the rod reading was taken. TP1 was also sighted with the line of sight in the horizontal position. Rod reading and stadia intercept we're recorded to be 1.111m and 0.672m respectively. The transit was transferred between TP1 and the column. The following readings were recorded. Refer to the figure below. The rod was held in the normal position at TP1 and was inverted at the column wherein the zero mark was placed at the top of the column.
A. Determine the stadia intercept at BM1.
B. What is the elevation of TP1 if the HI for the 1st setup is set up is 1.676 m and the rod reading is 2.157?
C. What is the difference in elevation between TP1 and the top of the column?
D. What is the elevation at the top of the column?
