A three-way catalytic converter is used with the spark-ignition engine in Prob. 11.3. For 10 percent of the driving time, the catalyst is cold and ineffective, and does not reduce the engine's emissions. For 90 percent of the time, the catalyst is hot and has conversion efficiencies as given in Fig. 11-57. Estimate the average vehicle emissions of NO,, HC, and CO in grams per mile.
