A thermistor has a dissipation constant of PD = 2 mW/ ◦ C and a time constant of τ = 1 s. This thermistor is attached to an electric heater. Initially both the heater and the thermistor are at room temperature of T0= Ti= 30◦ C. The heater is turned on at a certain instant. The thermistor starts recording the temperature at the same time. The heater temperature is expected to increase linearly with time at a constant rate of R = 0.5◦ C/s. Heating continues till the temperature of heater rises to 90◦ C after which it remains constant. Make a plot of thermistor response with time.
