(b) If letting R2 → 0 causes a 10% increase in IC, what is the value of VA? (c) Next, the student forces the BJT in the RA mode by interconnecting it in the circuit of (b). Since the role of collector is now played by the emitter region, the student has relabeled the emitter-terminal current as I 9 C , fl owing out of the BJT. Then, R 5 I 9 C y I B. If it is found that VE 5 3.5 V, what is the experimental value of R?
