A statistician (and cigar smoker) recently studied the relationship between Cigar Aficionado’s blind ratings of cigars and price. The purpose of this study was to determine whether premium cigars are really more expensive. A random sample of 50 cigars was selected, and the rating (x) and price per cigar ( y, in dollars) were recorded for each. The following summary statistics were obtained.
