A solution contains 20% Na2SO4, 15% Na2CO3, and the balance H2O. This is solution is passed through an evaporator that removes water with mass equal to 10% of the feed. 20% of the Na2SO4 in the original solution was crystallized as Na2SO4·10H2O, and 30% of the Na2CO3 as Na2CO3·10H2O.
