A satellite with a mass of 500 kg is orbiting the earth in a circular orbit taking 3.5 h for each round. If it has to be placed in another circular orbit where the satellite will take 8 h for each round, how much extra energy has to be given to the satellite?
In the previous problem, find out the minimum amount of energy needs to be given to the satellite (in its lower orbit) so that it escapes the gravitational field of the earth.
