Reflection on the course reading from Week 1 to Week 7
By the virtue of this assignment, I have this opportunity to share my learning from the course and reflect on the engaging experience in these 7 weeks. Reflecting on these learnings can enable me to develop essential skills and assess their effectiveness instead of just doing things for the namesake. Well, this course is specifically designed to concentrate on the impact of growing migration as well as the movement of people to the US from the rest of the part of the world. Identifying the patterns in this immigration practice while placing the entire scenario on a global pedestal. I really found that there is an evolution in theories while the literature encompasses present dynamics as well. Very interesting to understand how race plays a crucial role in several colonial discourses leading to several refugee-immigrant crises. It is a sad plight that the Middle East as a region brought the colonial discourse that could racialize the Muslim and Arab countries.
