Extracted text: A PCC Research Methods student-team wanted to know if grocery store shoppers would spend more money on oranges if they were arranged in a pyramid instead of randomly placed in a produce bin. They selected 2 grocery stores that were close to PCC, and arranged the oranges in one store to always appear in a pyramid shape. Oranges in the other store were placed in a produce bin randomly so that they would not stack in an organized fashion. Then researchers observed the number of oranges grocery shoppers bought from each store between the hours of 8am-10am, since that was when they were available for data collection.
