(a) Explain briefly what the merits of a Maxwell bridge are compared with other
forms of null-type, AC bridges.
(b) Derive an expression for Ru and Lu under balanced conditions.
(c) If the fixed bridge component values are R3 ¼ 270 U and C ¼ 50 mF, calculate
the value of the unknown impedance if R1 ¼ 963.9 U and R2 ¼ 75.4 U at
balance.
(d) Calculate the Q factor for the coil if the supply frequency is 60 Hz.
