A kinesiologist would like to compare the left hand and right hand gripping strengths of left-handed individuals. A scale is placed on a shelf and gripping strength will be measured by how tightly an individual is able to squeeze the scale with one hand.
Explain how a matched pairs experiment should be conducted to compare left- and right-hand gripping strenghts. Be sure to explain the role of randomization, and why it is important in this experiment.
