(A) Five guidelines were offered in this chapter (pp. 521–524) for turning traditional tests into more authentic, washback-giving, formative experiences. Find several existing classroom tests (paper-based or webbased), print or digitally distribute them to groups, and ask the groups to redesign aspects of the test to fit some or all of the principles. Then have them share their results with the rest of the class.
