Today, the client informs the nurse that after taking the medication she began to experience chest pain. She further states that the drug was effective in relieving the headache. The nurse should:

1. Encourage the client to continue using the drug because it was effective.

2. Advise the client to tell her health care provider about the chest pain on her next visit.
