A. Self-awareness is understanding the strengths, limits and emotions of one’s self. If a person wants to be self-aware he/she must have a good understanding of themselves. There are various elements that are to be known to get a complete awareness of one’s self like knowing about emotions, strengths, limits and etc. All these elements are inter-dependable. A person needs to have a keen observation on all hi/her do’s and don’ts to have a good critical assessment about himself/herself. There are many ways to analyze one’s self. Self-awareness is also important for professional competencies as it defines a person. So learning about one’s self-emotions is very important in any way. It can be through emotional self-awareness which is nothing but recognizing one’s emotions and what they do to you or to your life. Another one is through accurate self-awareness which is to identify one’s strengths and emotions. And the other way is to know the self-worth and capabilities of self so as to gain self-confidence. All this thing is very important in professional area of action too. Without self-awareness and emotional intelligence, it is nearly impossible to make decisions as a leader and help the employees to push their work towards the goal. It also disorganizes the possibility of productivity and what a person can offer to the company.
