A compound gear train of the form shown in Figure 24.27 has an input gear A with 60 teeth, A engaging with wheel B which has 20 teeth. Wheel B is on the same shaft as wheel C which has 40 teeth and engages with wheel D on the output shaft with 50 teeth. Determine the overall velocity ratio of the system and the number of revolutions per second that D will make when A revolves at 5 rev/s.
