A CES database called Wanner’s State of the World Database, created from publiclly available data by Prof. Alexander Wanner of the University of Karlsruhe, can be downloaded free from the Granta Design web site. It contains economic and development data for 226 countries. Figures 14.5 and 14.6 of the text were constructed using it. Use it to explore other aspects of the economic development of nations.

As an example: make a bar chart of oil consumption/Oil production to find out which countries are self-sufficient in oil and which depend on imports.
