Over the summer months you are responsible for locating, analyzing, and writing about 3 articles that reflect issues dealing with topics related to your identity. Complete the following three steps:

Step 1: Choose one of the following topics:

Step 2: Locate 3 articles about your topic:

Step 3: Write a response about each of the articles:

For each written response, include the following information:

  Briefly summarize the article and introduce the title and author

  Identify the author’s claim

  Take a position on the topic

  Support your position logically by addressing the points the author makes in establishing his/her claim

  Make sure to show an understanding of the topic you chose

  Book report summaries or personal reflections (opinion only) are unacceptable!

  
  

Writing Requirements: Each of the three responses must:

  Be accompanied with a full article (a copy, original, or internet reproduction) from a book, journal, newspaper or magazine. The article must show the date of publication, author(s) if applicable, and the title of its original source.

  Be typed in a Google Doc in standard black, Times New Roman, 12-point font.
