Remote Treatment (Corona) using AI and Robotics
Overview
It can be said that the first idea in terms of using the robots for the medical purposes remotely came into existence mainly from DARPA in the year 1990. However, at that time communication networks were not able to offer the required support for treating the people especially the soldiers in the battlefield. In this report I will be proposing the idea in terms of how AI and robotics can be used for treating Corona (COVID-1).
Objectives
The main objectives will be the following:
· Main aim will be showing how AI can be used during the time of Corona
· The ways by which robots can reduce human contact and the transmission of the CORONA virus
· Investigating the ways by which robots will be able to keep the doctors a safe distance by using some of the remote medical equipment and probes
Explaining the idea
Robots can be one of the most significant interfaces between the patient and doctor in this time of global crisis. It can also carry out the treatment and diagnostic procedures reducing the risk of transmission and the contact of human beings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The above-mentioned diagram shows that the robots can work in place of the doctors as we have seen the healthcare workers from all across the globe is highly affected due to this pandemic and robots will be helping the healthcare professionals in terms of the remote treatment to a great extent (Zeng, Chen and Lew, 2020).
