     A referendum is defined in simple words as a vote that was given by everyone who was at
an attainable voting age (Oliver, 2017). This was held on Thursday 23 June 2016, which was the casting day to decide if the UK would be leaving or remaining within the European Union. This was won in favor of the left at a ratio of the 51.9% to 48.1%. It is said that the referendum turnout was one of the essential protocols which have been applied with respect to the 71.8%, that has resulted in more than 30 million people voting.
            This is also essentially a part which has even caused on account of the sharp, short-term hit which has significantly affected Britain’s economy (Hopkins, 2017). This is one of the first consequence which made the British to cast vote on Thursday’s in order to leave the EU. It was mainly due to the government crisis.
