The debate concerning the significance and efficacy of school uniforms and uniform policies has been an issue which is ongoing for a long period. According to Anderson (2002), there are several reasons why the logicality and functionality of school uniforms are completely redundant. In the paper, the author has cited various sources which believe that school uniforms and the stringent uniform policies which are followed in the different educational institutions of the United States infringe on the First Amendment rights of the children. In addition to that, the strictness of following a particular school uniform also stifles the sense and notion of the individuality of the children, along with that, imposes unnecessary pressure and control on them.
