1. What are the differences between the medieval and modern world views?
According to Medieval thinkers, there could be observed a clear cut division between the
higher world which is
also known as; spiritual world and lower world means, the material world.
They exhibited devotion to God via saying that he is the creator of universe, and the „origin‟ of
moral values too who resides in higher extraterrestrial world means; in such world which
matches with his perfection whereas; human beings are inferior to God because of their sinful
nature thus; they live on earth which stands just above hell. Now, human beings may reach up to
the world of God via following the instructions given by him otherwise; they can fall to hell
which is the right place for sinners.
On the other hand, according to modern world view, nothing exists except Matter and
Energy and these can be termed equivalent (E=mc

). Besides, mind, consciousness and emotions
might be called byproducts of matter. So; we can reject the idea of presence of (i) spiritual realm,
(ii) spiritual beings, (iii) spiritual correlations, (iv) soul and, (v) God. Since modern world view
declines the idea of presence of God so; it also disapproves the presence of any hierarchy in
context of individuals as; according to it, all human beings are equal and cannot be kept in upper
or lower category.

Aquinas scholastic approach was that human wisdom has been designed as a pyramid
which consists of (i) sciences of ethics and politics at its base, (ii) philosophy above, and (iii)
