Analyze the various
research methods employed in psychology to determine which research method
seems the most applicable across the greatest number of situations. Explain
your rationale (including the single greatest strength and weakness of the
methodology you chose).
Disscussion 2
Select a human behavior
(everything is open to discussion, from skydiving, to watching a movie, to
aggravated assault) and discuss how the biological bases of behavior play a
role in that behavior. Provide specific examples to support your response.
Disscussion 3
Give your opinion on whether you
believe gender roles associated with each gender (i.e., the stereotypical ways
that females and males are “supposed” to behave) are based more on
biology or environment. Determine whether you believe the actions of females
and males are based more on genetics or the expectations and dictates of
society. Provide a rationale for your response.
Disscussion 4
According to the textbook,
researchers who have followed lives through time have found evidence for both
stability and change when it comes to an individualâs personality. Reflect on
your own personality and describe the characteristics of your personality that
have changed, and which have stayed the same as you have grown older.
Disscussion 5
Analyze the factors (both genetic
and environmental) contributing to the development of a specific mental
disorder (of your choice). Discuss steps that could be taken to reduce the
incidence of the disorder that you had identified above. Be sure to focus on
prevention, not treatment.
