1500 words Students will develop a suitable resource for health professionals working in Aotearoa/New Zealand to demonstrate their responsibilities and understanding in relation to the Treaty of Waitangi. You are applying for a job and/or registration as a health profession of your choice in New Zealand. As part of the application process, you have been asked to provide a written resource that demonstrates your understanding and responsibilities in relation to the Treaty of Waitangi. Use appropriate software word to develop a professional written resource booklet. Your resource will explain the professional responsibilities relevant to your selected health profession, as service providers working in the Aotearoa/New Zealand health care industry, and in relation to Te Tiriti o Waitangi /the Treaty of Waitangi. The content of your resource must include: • An overview of the history of Te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi with a clear explanation of its relationship to current health outcomes for Māori in Aotearoa/New Zealand. 300 words • A critical discussion showing the relevance of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi/ the Treaty of Waitangi in today’s delivery of health services within Aotearoa/New Zealand. 300 words • An analysis of the responsibilities of your selected health profession when working in Aotearoa/New Zealand in relation to Te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi. 300 words • A discussion on how you plan to apply the Treaty of Waitangi to everyday practice in your health profession. 300 words • A reference list (APA 6th edition) of the scholarly literature cited in the resource. You will have the opportunity to practice job interview skills using your resource during timetabled class time prior to the due date. You will verbally present content from your draft resource to peers in the form of a mock job interview and gain peer feedback.
