Assignment Report
Linear Regression
This assignment aims to predict the sales of pet food of a lar
ge supermarket chain using the shelf space. We are given a random sample of 12 equal-sized stores of the super market.
The data consists of three variables:
Shelf Space (Independent)
Sales (’00 $) (Dependent)
Aisle Location (Dependent)
Tabulation and Findings
Constructing a scatter plot between Shelf Space and Sales:
From the above graph we can clearly see that there is a positive linear relationship between Shelf Space and Sales of Pet food. It means if the shelf space for pet food will increase then its sale will also increase and vice versa.
