Select a passage in one of our readings and then explain its significance in your own words and using your own examples
You should attempt to articulate an author’s reasoning and/or the viewpoints of the characters he depicts
Your task is to reconstruct someone else’s reasoning (Plato/Socrates) as clearly and charitably as possible in your own words (whether or not you find it plausible or convincing)
You may also then offer your own evaluation of whether or not you find the author/character convincing and why
Midterm papers are expected to be written with care and not contain spelling mistakes, grammatical mistakes, incomplete sentences, and unclear prose
Please use the spelling & grammar review feature on Microsoft Word (or its equivalents)
Work that is slap-dash and sloppy, riddled with infelicities and errors, will result in a lower grade
