1. With instructor-led instruction, the instructor interacts with the learners while delivering the instruction, controls the practice and feedback components of the instruction, and is more passive when evaluating selected materials.


2. The attitude questionnaire (see Appendix L , section 7) can be given to learners to complete during the small-group and field trials. During the one-to-one trials, however, you should use the questionnaire as an interview form. You can write responses learners make on the form. The one-to-one trials help you evaluate the attitudinal questionnaire formatively to determine whether the questions you have asked are clear. If you get several “I don’t know” responses, then rephrase the questions until the learner understands the question and expresses an opinion. Note on the questionnaire the changes you must make to clarify what you are asking. The attitudinal questionnaire can be used as an interview guide during the debriefing session as well; it helps you focus the evaluation on important components in the materials.
