1. Why is it important to explain the social, and not just the biological, aspects of health and illness in societies?

2. In what ways are race, class, and gender intertwined with physical and mental disorders? (Do NOT focus on biology.)

3. How would functionalists, conflict theorists, and symbolic interactionists suggest that health care delivery (health care delivery= insurance/way people access healthcare) might be improved in the United States?  Make sure you address how each type of theory might see health care.
