Chairman’s Programme Recommendation (CPR) is an input to the planning
phase and
culminates into the issuance of the Joint Programming Guidance (JPG) in the planning phase.
JPG and the Guidance of the Development Employment of Force ( GDF) have been
combined and been replaced by the Defense Programming/ Planning Guidance (DPPG). So
DPPG, along with Fiscal Guidance (FG) and Integrated Priority Lists (IPLs) of the
Combatant Commander of the Unified and Specified commands that provide the war
fighter’s views of resource requirements, are the primary inputs for the Programming Phase.
2) It is prepared at the Component level.
