Why was the fire of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory so deadly?
Answer: Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire was one of the most tragic disasters during the industrial age. It is considered a man-made disaster as it could have been prevented. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory consists of several floors of Manhattan business. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factor can be defined as a sweatshop as well. According to the reports, around 500 people worked in the building (CBS News, 2011). 11-12 hours was the average working time in the factory.
