1) Soil moisture/environmentalconditions monitor with data logging: please go to: https://learn.adafruit.com/make-it-data-log-spreadsheet-circuit-playground. Please go to the link for soil monitoring (https://learn.adafruit.com/make-it-data-log-spreadsheet-circuit-playground/plant-monitoring). You are going to monitor temperature, light and mositure (via the capacitive touch sensor) over time, and display your results in an Excell or Google Sheets spreadsheet. You can follow the links at the bottom of the page linked above, or go directly to the Guide at: https://learn.adafruit.com/soil-moisture-sensor-with-circuit-playground-express

Note: You do not need to use the battery holder if you just leave the device attached to your computer for poser. If you have the battery holder from the kit, great! You will also need a wire with alligator clips and a nail or other metal "probe" to put into the soil, a sponge, etc. You can even fashion a probe from the coper tape if you have purchased the full kit.

a) use theMakecodeas given -- the output is provided by the LED lights on your Circuit Playground Express. Try adding water to the soil and Include a picture of the results in your response to the assignment. Describe how the device is working as a sensor, and how you designed the experiment -- should be at least 200 words (plus the picture of the resulting light display). You can upload a short video if you like for extra credit. Also click on "Going Further" and run the code which uses a sound alert instead of a light sensor. Why might this prove useful?

b) Now we want to log the data into a spreadsheet -- return to the page on data logging (https://learn.adafruit.com/make-it-data-log-spreadsheet-circuit-playground/logging-into-a-spreadsheet) As shown, record temperature, light and moisture (via the input from the capacitive touch sensor pad). Try adding water to the soil (a little bit, and monitor over enough time that you see changes as the moisture reaches the metal 'sensor' and as it dries a bit. Upload your speadsheet as part of your answer, and describe the data shown (and why it looks the way it does, including any variation in temperature or light -- try also intentionally varying the temperature and light exposure to see how the device operates as a sensor -- this can include moving the soil to a hotter/cooler location or shading the soil with the sensor in it. Please describe your experiment and results (at least 200 words). NOTE: You can use either CircuitPython or Makecode as shown -- it is up to you. Explain your choice.
