1. Select ONE (1) current issue in health care and/or service provision (specific to Australia, or a global issue). You should NOT DISCUSS A DISEASE (e.g. diabetes), but rather a BROADER ISSUE (e.g. The impact of access to specialised diabetes healthcare services and mortality among rural and remote individuals). Some examples may include:• Equity (e.g. Public hospitals, Private healthcare)• Access (e.g. Rural and remote, health literacy)• Gender (e.g. Power, hierarchies, medical dominance)• Workplace cultures (e.g. Transition to teams, leadership, work life balance, bullying, staff retention, burnout)2. Give a brief description of what the issue is, supported by literature including research data. Present a critical argument about the issue based on the literature. Your argument should focus on addressing the following questions:a) Why has this health issue arisen? (supported by the literature)b) What factors are there, or may be causing it? (e.g. political, fiscal, social, cultural, environmental, government policy etc.) (supported by the literature)c) What can be done or what needs to be done to improve and/or prevent this health issue/ service provision? (supported by the literature)d) What are the implications for nurses/nursing? (supported by the literature)3. Make recommendations for clinical practice, education, research, policy (may include one or all of these). These are made based on the supporting literature.4. A 300-350 word abstract must be submitted with your presentation (no references in this).
