Case-Brief:
FMG and its subsidiary St Francis health care system were serious
ly impacted by the Ransom ware attack last year. Several critical medical records of patients stored in the data bases of St.Francis Health care unit got simply compromised. During the process several data records of the health care unit. During the attack, FMG is demanded to pay the Ransom, however the company did not pay the ransom, but managed to get the retrieval of most of the records subjected to hacking during the process. However some of the important records which were uploaded during September 20, 2018 to December 31, 2018 got permanently lost due to encryption and due to not existence of the back-up. As the organization is not willing to pay the ransom, the hacker did not provide decoding and the data is permanently lost during this time, the entire bunch of medical records stored in the system during this time got permanently lost.
