1. Open a new workbook, Create a personal yearly budget listing at six or more items you
path monthly. 10 points (see example worksheet 1).
2. On a separate worksheet, create a pie using percentages showing the breakdown of your
monthly expenses, for the month of September only. 10 points (see example
worksheet 2).
3. On a separate worksheet, create a pie chart using percentages showing the breakdown of
your monthly expenses, for the month of November only. 10 points (see example
worksheet 3)
4. On a separate worksheet, create a column chart showing your yearly expenses total. 10
points (see example worksheet 4)
5. On separate worksheet, break the January monthly items down by how you receive your
income (Biweekly, weekly or monthly). Create charts per pay check on that worksheet 5
(see example worksheet 5). You may choose whichever chart type you desire. 10
points
6. Save the completed file to Lastname_ Firstname_Budget – upload your completed file in
Canvas under the assignment Personal Budget by the deadline.
Note:***This assignment is graded based on your design layout of the worksheet & charts
as well as your use of excel formulas & functions. The entire assignment is worth 50 points.
Note:*** If you find you have more expenses than money as in the sample, it is time
to prioritize and eliminate some items until you get your finance back in the black.
