1. Observe the different styles of teaching used by teachers whose children must meet standards with standardized achievement tests. Interview the teachers about their teaching choices. Refl ect on how these methods might work, or not work, for you.
2. If you are working in a center or school, try one of the assessment methods suggested in this chapter or one that is used by the teacher. Analyze how much you have learned about the child or children you assessed.
3. Try a second method of assessment with the same child or children. Compare its effectiveness to the first.
