Human behaviour is genetic variations and behavioural genetics are evident in daily life. As an example, when twins are separated at birth with similar genetic characteristics of GAD, might show separate symptoms due to different environmental exposure. Lifestyle and environmental factors can also influence the behavioural genetics of a person. As mentioned before, twins who grow up under similar environmental conditions have more influence on behaviour. Another example can be that of neuroticism. It is a personality trait in which an individual is under the constant influence of depression, guilt, and anxiety. Studies have confirmed that there is a 40 to 60 per cent chance of neuroticism being a heritable occurrence.
