In simple terms ethics can be discussed as the basic concept
of organization, group, or
individual to conduct and follow integral business and social practices. Ethics are associated with
the universal values to ensure legal and lawful practices in term of physical and monetary
benefits to all the humans (Phillips, 2003). Organizational ethics are associated with the
responses of the company for internal and external stimuli.
An organization works for societal benefits through groups and individuals and the ethics
in the organization are based on the ethics of society, groups and individuals. Societal ethics can
be defined as the legal system, social practices and customs of the society along with the norms
and values that are used by social people to interact with each other and ensure that they are not
harming other in unethical way. These social ethical are also implemented in the firm to make
sure that organizational people are using unwritten norms and values to interact with the
superiors, colleagues and juniors (Jones, 2008).
Moreover, group or professional ethics can be defined as the moral rules and regulations
used by the groups or professionals such as engineering, technicians, managers, etc. to control
their activities and follow ethical and legal behavior. In concern to the organization, group and
professional ethical are also implemented to shape organization ethical and ensure that different
team in a firm are following their practices within ethical boundaries (Johnson, 2011).
Apart from this, organizational ethics also comprises elements of individual ethics. This
can be described as practices and values followed by individuals by using their knowledge and
