1 Discuss in detail the analytical difference between ‘’Problem orientated police’, ‘broken windows policing’ and ‘community policing’. Point out common areas if any in which these models of policing intersect. Point out the epistemology that underpins each of these models in terms of genesis of crime and the role of policing in managing crime. Which of these models were applied in crime management in New York City? How was the model implemented in New York City and what was the overall assessment in terms of objectives? Which of the three models of policing would a left realist approach to policing agree with and why and what objectives would a Marxist perspective of policing level against broken windows and community policing?
