1. Can corrections administrators really motivate their employees? How? What motivates you to work harder or more effectively?
2. What approach makes the most sense in man-aging inmates, a firm hand or substantial inmate participation? Can all inmates (or prisons) be managed the same way?
3. Look at the “Ten Ideas for Effective Managers.” Are these simply common-sense notions? Is this something that can be learned in management training, or does this come with experience on the job?
