1. Android and IOS are two different mobile Platforms. Android is Google's and IOS is apple's mobile operating system. "Google's chairman Eric Schmidt predicted last December that app developers would start on android first rather than apple's IOS- but they haven't/why not? and why do iphone users update so quickly?" this article was published in The Guardian's Apps Blog. you can check it at http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/appsblog/2012/jun/10/apple-developer-wwdc-schmidt-android Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Android OS over IOS. 500 words
Android OS and iOS are competing a lot nowadays to get more market share and sell their apps. As discussed in the article above, iOS still manages to attract app developers more than Android OS does because ‘Apple pays developers more per app than Google does’. Apple with its iTunes music store working since 2003 has got credit card information of millions of people especially Americans already and with that iTunes account set up, it is ‘much easier to download iOS apps that Android apps.’ Hence iPhone users update more quickly than Android users. Apple is hence getting more business than Google till now. But it would be interesting to compare the two operating systems to see which one has better features. Following is a brief comparison between the two:
1. Apple has its own hardware and software integrated in the iOS while Android software is not good enough to be compatible with its hardware.
2. The biggest advantage of IOS is its simplicity in its user interface which makes it easy for even children to work on it. But android has also come a long way and created a revolutionary user interface which users were happy to use after using the boring Symbian User Interface.
3. Apps in Android OS do not use as sophisticated graphics as iOS but includes good functionalities in its menus.
4. Android has applications only for Google’s own services like Gmail, Gtalk, Android Market and so on but for music, books and data backups, it has to outsource work to third parties. This is a disadvantage because iOS apps provide service for its iTunes store, iBooks Store and MobileME Services while providing local backup too.
5. Google also does not provide regular software updates for its iOS. The updates are also hardware-dependent and hence vary from phone to phone while this problem does not exist for iOS which gets regularly updated.
6. But the biggest advantage that Android has is it is open source and hence it is very easy for developers to develop rich and innovative apps for it. Android also does not have restrictive policies for its development tools to create apps. This freedom allows developers to develop applications much faster but also has disadvantages.
7. There is no one to check the quality of Android apps and there is lack of security which allows hackers easy access to the contents and can put malicious stuff on the Android Market.
8. On the other hand, iOS is limited in its app development process as the developers have to abide by Apple’s guidelines while developing apps and are not free to do what they want. It is easy to develop apps for iOS as Apple provides code, information and tools to develop and test their apps. But this also limits the developers’ ideas and creativity.
9. Also iOS apps are accessible only from Apple’s app store while Android apps can be downloaded from the Android Market as well as other app markets. This gives flexibility to Android users and better options for saving money.
At the end, it is difficult to conclude which OS is better because both of them are quite competitive. It is generally just a matter of choice or preference whether to use Android or iOS depending on whether you are a Google fan or an Apple fan.

2. What are web Standards? Briefly discuss web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 standards 500 words
Web standards are formal definitions and technical specifications about how the World Wide Web is used and designed. They specify how web sites are to be built, used and operated. The web standards development started with Web 1.0 which was mainly concerned about getting information on the web. Web 2.0 advanced from connecting information to connecting people and allowing social participation on the Internet. Web 3.0 is a new concept which goes even further by connecting knowledge, representing meanings and using them to make the experience of using internet easier and more enjoyable and useful.
In Web 1.0, some writers developed web pages which could be useful for many readers online. People could access necessary content directly from the sources. Web 1.0 provided connected HTML documents which could be accessed over the internet. It...
