Question 1)
1) Distinction between your personal and public information: Mostly our
personal in
formation is available to someone else due to out ignorance. The
common belief that 'I don't have anything to hide' makes people to treat their
social / public information and personal / private information in pretty much
the same way. Since we don't bother to protect our public information much,
our personal information also becomes vulnerable to misuse. Most of the
people provide their personal information available on their social networking
accounts, email accounts.
Since we cannot put all the information behind robust security measures,
we need to distinguish between which information is public and which
information of us is private and should not be available to someone else
without our permission. This reduces the responsibility of protecting our data/
information applying it only for our private domain.
