2. Scholars have recently established a new geological epoch called the Anthropocene. Explain how the historical ecological approach, which emphasizes the importance of deep historical trajectories as made evident by interdisciplinary inquiries (archaeology, history, ecology, anthropology) can offer insights into when, how and why people became the dominate force shaping the Earth. Be sure to provide specific examples from both terrestrial and marine environments.
